Rubrics in Assessment

Assessing the Principles of Undergraduate Learning

The following documents represent approaches taken by a variety of colleges and universities to assessment of undergraduate or graduate student learning outcomes, for the most part using approaches similar to those which IUPUI has adopted for its Principles of Undergraduate Learning (PULs). These approaches include: four stages of development or competence; a matrix structure for presentation; and comparatively brief descriptions that avoid unnecessary jargon. They are grouped according to their relevance to the IUPUI PULs.
