From Inside Higher Ed: "Bridge" programs -- which help underskilled and academically
underprepared adults prepare for college to get the additional training
they need -- are a potentially powerful tool, but are too little studied
and evaluated, the Workforce Strategy Center
says in a new report today. The study, sponsored by the Joyce
Foundation, is based on a survey of 515 such programs that have emerged

Save and Backup PSA
There are several ways to save your papers and potential
capstone artifacts. The
"My Workspace" Resources function in Oncourse is probably the most
convenient and the safest. It's backed up every day and is accessible
from anywhere. If you are storing these files on your hard drive or
flash drive make sure you back up regularly using something like Mozy or use a cloud storage solution like Dropbox or Google Docs.
