The conversational tone of IT WRITES ITSELF makes it easy to become absorbed into the words on the page and the exercises throughout the book. I felt as though I was engaged with a classroom full of peers as I embarked on a journey of discovering my true identity as a writer. While I have a background in Journalism, this book challenged my creative side and made me want to pick up a pen and start writing! - Karen Meade
Having read many “How to Write” books I was surprised to find this one grabbed my attention immediately and swept me through all twenty-one exercises with ease. Reading it creates an atmosphere that supports self confidence through community, a we are in this togetherness, that is rare but oh so helpful in releasing the writing flow. I would bet that even those readers who do not see themselves as writers, or not fiction writers, would find this book a good read and these exercises fun to do. Marian Rollin (The class this book was based on) gave me perspective of new creative tools in my own writings. … I feel this class gave me more confidence in my own abilities. What I liked the most was the channeling affect that the stories now come out flowing, easily, with a style I have never used before. - Daniel Staite
