Following the successful panel held at AIED 2009 on “The Evolution of AIED: Successes and Challenges”, this forum will bring together exponents of ITS research and relevant funding agencies from North America, Europe, and Asia to continue the dialogue. They will discuss/compare the state of the field as well as prospects for future directions in each country, with specific focus on the key theme:
“Has AI helped?”
Panelists will answer questions such as:
1. Which priorities were set so far in funding research in advanced technologies in training and education? Which priorities you think will be/should be set for the next 5 years?
2. How do you perceive the role of AI technologies in education and training?
3. How has AI helped/ can help technology mediated learning?
4. How, if ever, has AI interfered with successful research and deployment of technology mediated learning? |
