With ITS2010 fast approaching, here is some information you should have.
Besides going by email to everyone who has registered so far, this message will be posted at www.cmu.edu/its2010 at Information for attendees. So will any subsequent updates; to receive them by email, subscribe to this page.
- Where to stay: see Accommodations; you must request on-campus housing by June 4 if you didn't already register for it.
- CMU Conferences and Events Services is sending a separate message about campus housing and other information.
- Where things are: see "MAP of ITS2010 locations in Pittsburgh" on sidebar of the conference website.
- How to get to Carnegie Mellon University: see Transportation.
- Where to pick up registration materials: University Center 2nd floor outside Rangos.
- When to pick up registration materials: June 14 or 15, 7am-9am or noon-2pm. (Later arrivals should ask a conference volunteer for assistance.)
- Which events will occur when and where: see Conference Schedule.
- Things to do: see Conference Outings; click here for things that make Pittsburgh cool; click here for June 2010 cultural events.
To keep ITS2010 "green":
- CMU Conferences and Events Services will email your itemized receipt after the conference starts, and print a paper receipt only on request.
- You will receive proceedings only on USB unless you paid extra for the book, so you may want to bring your laptop.
- Remember to bring your conference bag to use (and extras to donate) if you have any; whoever donates the most will get an award.
- If you don't, you may take a donated conference bag.
- Everyone will receive a reusable souvenir ITS2010 grocery bag.
- Instead of disposable water bottles, you will receive a souvenir ITS2010 water bottle to refill, reuse, and keep.
- Instead of cluttering conference bags with flyers, we're posting flyers on-line at E-flyers.
- The conference, dorms, hotels, banquet, and several of the outings are all within walking distance.
