Hello again everybody. Twenty-three members including a number of new members and guests came to the October 10th meeting. Thank you all for coming. Attendance to the October meeting was again lower than we would like. If you have any concerns about attending our meetings, I would like to hear from you! As previously stated, a lot of items were discussed.
First, the membership agreed to have the Christmas Party at the Sportsman’s Club and to have them cater it. The membership also discussed that the club spend up to $500.00 to subsidize the cost of the food for members. However, non-member guests will be charged the full price. Time is running short. Contact Dino if you plan to attend the party so we can get an accurate count. See the “Club News” tab for more Christmas Party details.
The Global Oklahoma 2009 Festival of Cultures is an annual event on the Rose State College campus that was held on Saturday, October 3rd and was a great success for ICO. The Club made $92 from the festival through novelties and souvenir sales. I would like to thank the Club members who helped man the ICO booth at the festival. Take a look at our website for festival pictures.
Starting with the June newsletter we began to cover some of the performers that presented at our festival. I hope that you enjoy the new series.
Don’t forget, we are looking for ICO volunteers for the International Business Council and Friendship Force International. If you are interested please let me know.
We have a lot going on at the ICO. Spread the word among the members and tell them to come to the November meeting.
Ciao, Steve.
