Team Sycamore Racing was founded in 2007 to teach students how to operate a motorsports team. All aspects of the team business, from marketing to vehicle maintenance, are explored. Students from all majors are encouraged to participate in TSR. Drag racing events sanctioned by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) serve as well-respected and safe venues in which TSR can compete. Both of the TSR dragsters run in either the Super Pro or Super Comp class, depending on the type of event attended. TSR student members are in charge of every facet of the team and are responsible for planning and completing all projects both during the school year and the summer. Students who have obtained their NHRA Competitor’s License are responsible for driving both dragsters at all events.
