What is the Israel Shabbat Experience?

The Israel Shabbat Experience is a weekend program available on some incoming Israel trips. Our goal is to provide participants with optional programs that offer a small taste of a special Jewish event that thousands of Jews, including our staff, experience each week in their own homes: Shabbat. We even bring our children to help provide the true flavor of the day. We have designed a series of programs that respect everyone's individual choices while offering people the opportunity to develop a deeper appreciation for Shabbat and Jewish identity. Many participants have reported that spending a warm traditional weekend together with us was the highlight of their trip.

Who are we?

We are a colorful group of young men and women now living in Israel but originally from the United States, Canada, England, Austrailia, Austria and South Africa with various backgrounds. Some, though not all, of us were raised in a traditional environment, and many have finished first and second university degrees in subjects ranging from engineering, accounting, business, law, and even drama. Some members of our team are also yeshiva students.We welcome you to keep in touch with us.

What do our programs include?

We work hard to bring you educational content that is relevant and interesting. Our optional sessions provide both the opportunity to learn about Judaism in small forums, and to hear from a range of speakers. Our Women in Judaism discussions are extremely popular. We're also available throughout Shabbat for one-on-one talks or informal discussions through the weekend. We will respect and do our best to answer your questions.
