History of Stow:
Stow was founded in 1795 by Joshua Stow of Middleton, Connecticut. The first school was housed in a log cabin still residing at 5369 Stow Rd. As the population of the town grew the need for more school space grew. The new schools moved to the area at Graham and Darrow Rd. Since then numbers have increased to now where the newest high school resides on Graham Rd.since 1909. Where the first graduating class of 7 girls graduated 100 years ago,
Stow High School's Vision:

Beth Shcoonover is our high school teacher from Stow, Jacob Dennis is our neer peer mentor who is curently studing at Kent State University. Mark Anderson, Ciara Robinson, Chelcee Culp, Bobby Cardoso, And Amberly Neice are the high school students from Stow-Monroe Falls high school. Together we are Stow's Igniting Streams of learning (ISLS) learning community for the2009-2010 year. We spent eight days at Hiram University along with many other schools that participated in the program. At Hiram we worked with profesors, teachers, collge students, and high school students alike, creating a truly unique learning experiance for all. After the eight days we still are not done. We are now working on our learning objective so that we can share what we learned at Hiram.
