Teen in Residence (TiR) program is an opportunity for new to Second Life® Teens to have a 6 month lease in Second Life® to work on creative projects for their virtual worlds development using this platform. All creative projects rights are retained by the TiR developer. What are you provided as a Teen in Residence? Free of charge, you will be provided a lease on skybox on Isla Sonoita you can set as Home for 6 months. The island is shared by educators which will allow you collective support and a community to discuss projects and teach each other. Each TiR will get 2000 Lindens to start. Lindens can be used for purchasing tools to develop your project, altering your avatar, or furnishing your residence. Available to you will be educators who can help answer questions and suggest solutions to inworld projects you are interested in developing. What is my investment in the SiR program? We can select 1 TiR proposal every 6 months. Your initial investment is to fill out a simple request to be in the program that includes any initial ideas you may have on a project you would like to complete in the 6 month timeframe. We are looking for applicants from all levels of technology competence that may be interested in this project. We hope that successful applicants for the program will find regular opportunities to engage creative development with other scholars. How do I apply?
