Intermediate Level Courses

Upon compleletion of Introductory Level Courses, students will prepare themselves for a specific area of research.  These courses should be taken based on the research guide's recommendation.

Upon completing either DSP 311 (for those who are analyzing images) or DSP 331 (for those who are dealing with signals), the students will be able to handle the data and apply most of the standard analytical tools (such as FFT) to the data.  At this stage, students will be able to test their hypothesis on the data set and come up with their own conclusion.  Not all students need to take all our courses.  Please refer to Intermediate Level Courses Descriptions and Course Flow Chart for details.

DSP 301 The Principles of Frequency Domain Analysis; Prerequisite: WM 211 or WM 231
DSP 311 Intermediate Image Processing; Prerequisite: WM 211 + DSP 301
DSP 321 Intermediate Signal Processing; Prerequisite: WM 221 + DSP 301
