ABOUT ME

Well, at lot has changed since I originally created this page. I didn't take the time to keep things up to date.  I hope to change that.

I've been separated from my ex a few months.  I thought it would have been very difficult emotionally, but if anything, it's been a huge relief.  I'm finally rediscovering who I am, after having been submersed in a marriage where I felt the relationship with my partner took a back seat to the the kids, the house, the dogs... It's a pretty sad state of affairs when a relationship goes that way.

I like:  Science. Computers. The Internet. Books (History, Travel, Science, Science-Fiction). Films (just about any, but I like indie/foreign films). Mountain Biking. Cycling. Hiking. Travelling (in Canada or other countries). Geocaching.

I dislike:  Crowds. The denial of the facts of evolution and climate change.  Junk science. Atheistic arguments against the coexistence of the concept of God and of evolution.

I love to hate: 

My favorite books:  1919. The Name of the Rose. Foucault's Pendulum. Neuromancer and all the novels by William Gibson.  

Favorite authors:  William Gibson (YEAH!). Umberto Eco. Fritz Leiber.

My favorite movies:  Name of the Rose. V for Vendetta. The Lives of Others. La Haïne. Vidocq. Le Petit Lieutnant. The Chronicles of Riddick. The Long Way Round series. Luna Papa. Perfume: The story of a murderer. Rosenstrasse. Cavite. And many more.

My least-liked movies:  Striptease. Basic Instinct. Last Action Hero.
