Mazatlan, located on the west coast of Mexico, has half a million residents. It is an important commercial fishing seaport. 

It is also a popular tourist destination.  In fact, the city is almost divided into two parts: "Zona Dorado", the Golden Zone, where the high rise all-inclusive resorts are located, and the historical center of "Old Mazatlan."
