Charity Yoga Adventure Trek - Annapurna Circuit, Nepal October 2, 2011 - October 15, 2011Calling adventurous yoga students everywhere who want to not only deepen their practice but also embark on a transformational journey of self-discovery!
This past April, Nepal Social and Tingting teamed up and led the inaugural Charity Yoga Adventure Trek to Everest Base Camp. A fantastic success, all 12 participants made it to Base Camp and returned to Kathmandu with stories and pictures of a lifetime.
Now, you can also experience the magical land of Nepal first-hand. Additionally, your journey will have a profound impact on the children of Nepal Orphans Home; a portion of your trip cost will go towards supporting these children who have been sold or abandoned by their families. The money will help provide food, shelter, and education for the children but more importantly, a real chance for success in their lives. At the end of your journey, you will return to Kathmandu and have a chance to meet some of these children and truly feel gratitude at all that life has to offer.
Limited to 10 participants. Please email tingting@ironlotusfitness.com for more information! Or click here for more details of the trip! *********************************************************************************************

Evolution of Yoga - Adventure Yoga Holiday (Soulshine Retreat, Ubud, Bali) with Tingting Peng and Konstantin Miachin October 24, 2011 - October 30, 2011Created by Michael Franti
and Carla Swanson, Soulshine Bali is located in beautiful Ubud, the arts and
crafts center of Bali. This magical center is dedicated to bringing people
together to practice yoga, meditation, art, music, dance and just having a
great time. The exquisitely designed main building and grounds hosts a river,
tropical gardens and several ornate ponds – perfect for a relaxing yoga holiday
and retreat. After your yoga practice, enjoy a refreshing dip in the
swimming pool and savor an abundance of fresh fruits such as mango, jackfruit,
banana, mangostein, rambutan, papaya and coconuts.
There will be two 2-hour
yoga classes per day and each guest will have the opportunity to practice at
his/her own level making the week suitable for students of different abilities.
Daily guided meditation sessions are held to help you unwind, de-stress, stay
centered and grounded, and guests are encouraged to take the journey within!!
This can be an ideal introduction for beginners or a different approach for the
adept. The concept of “evolution of yoga” is based
on the notion that everything in the world evolves constantly, including human
beings. Our primary goal as a human race and that of any living organism is
evolution, and yoga can be seen as a tool to facilitate such evolution in any
given individual. However, as the practice of yoga itself changes with time and
place, as new techniques are being introduced, the approach is becoming more
technical, precise and scientific, any definition of it as a system or style
seems to be a limitation in itself. Therefore, the “Evolution of Yoga” approach
has to be seen as an ever-evolving process, which anyone can be a part of,
rather than a complete static system.“It’s all about coming out of the box, rather
than jumping from one box into another” –Kosta Limited to 20 participants. Please email tingting@ironlotusfitness.com for more information! Or click here for more details of the retreat! ********************************************************************************************* |
