Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge will be open until Nov. 1^st and is proud to be hosting the following groups and events for October 2011.  If you ride a similar model bike and  would like to meet up with these groups, make plans to come to Ironhorse and join the fun. 

The fall colors are emerging and the temperatures are perfect at 50 degree nights and 70 degree days.  Most fall days are sunny and clear.  Gather your friends and plan your ride to the Smoky Mtns.

Ironhorse has plenty of rooms, camping sites, RV sites, during the weekdays when you can have the roads to yourself.  There is nothing better than  carving a curve on smooth asphalt, having lunch with friends and returning to Ironhorse for a great dinnertime meal and fireside chat.

Ironhorse has camping, bunkhouses, rustic cabin rooms and full cabins plus dining in our pavilion where we serve both breakfast and dinner most every weekday and for sure on weekends.  Call ahead to check on dinner menu and reservations.

There are still rooms on weekends and you are invited to join these groups during their events. Victory Group Oct 7-8^th ,V Strom Oct. 13-15, BMW Atl Oct 15, Curve Cowboys Oct 21-22, Motoquest Tours Oct 23-25, CMA Barry G group Oct 28-29.

Over the winter months, Ironhorse will be planning a major expansion of our upstairs mezzanine and will  reopen in April 1, 2012.

MARCH 2011

Our eighth season is fast approaching and we are looking forward to a great 2011 season. Lots of groups are booking in and we are excited about getting back to work. The winter projects are being completed with streamlined check in desk, a new clear span bridge is being installed starting in March.  With the warmer weather riders are coming to the mountains early this year. Ironhorse for 2010 Season

Hard to believe that the 2010 season is just around the corner.  Just because it has been winter, we haven’t slowed down.  The Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge has been busy remodeling, upgrading and improving our resort to better serve our guest and create an ambiance that remains upscale, warm and friendly.  As many of our fall guest discovered, we paved from the entrance to the pavilion which was a welcome improvement and one everyone appreciated.  In addition, we have remodeled and upgraded our reservations, added a dual station check in desk for faster service and reset the gift shop with more shirts, coats, and souvenirs.  The open covered deck behind the gift shop has been enclosed in all glass and is now called the Atrium, which is both air conditioned and heated for dining and special functions as well as watching movies and television without disturbing the dining guest. Thanks to Verizon for providing a new faster DSL internet system, which provides faster surfing the web and stronger signals for wireless internet.  A new pit group displaced the old one for relaxing in the dining hall.  On order and to be installed will be a large fireplace with stacked stone surround to complete the center wall of the pavilion.  

New for 2010 and a major expansion was the addition of the rustic cabin of Hog Hideaway on lot 1 of Thunder Mtn.  The large cabin is 2000 square feet of pure elegance and mountain ambiance.  Features a 3 bedroom, 3 baths, TV/VCR, large master with jacuzzi tub, double deep garage and a large deck with a relaxing long range view of the distance mountains.

To compliment a hard days ride, we will be featuring new and improved menus with wholesome and delicious breakfast and dinner. We look forward to seeing old friends and welcoming new friends at the Ironhorse.

Blue Ridge Motorcycle Touring: is offering the Adventure Tour June 12-20 2010 8 Days-7 nights. You will be picked from Roanoke Airport and transported to Harley Davidson Dealership to pickup bike.
