We do not require a specific style or brand of swimwear for the IROCKETS Swim Team, but we do ask that all swimmers wear the following when we are participating in swim meets or practices:
            • Gender-appropriate swim suit designed for use with swim clubs/meets in royal blue color for meets (any color is fine for practices)
            • Royal blue swim cap for meets and practices (each swimmer will be provided with one swim cap and you can also purchase caps inexpensively from swimwear companies online)
            • Goggles (most swimmers find goggles necessary any time they are in the pool)
               
              • Prescription goggles are incredibly important for nearsighted swimmers.  All you need is the diopter strength (quoted as a negative number) from your swimmer's eye doctor.  Then log onto http://www.swimoutlet.com/Prescription_Swim_Goggles_s/326.htm and for between $8 and $20, you can provide your swimmer with vision-appropriate swim goggles. If your swimmer has different diopter strengths in each eye, choosing the higher number may provide maximum clarity, but check with your opthalmologist for expert advice if you are unsure.
