PRACTICES We have a very exciting and very busy swim season ahead of us, so if swimmers or their families have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact any of our coaches, IROC staff, or parent volunteers. Pool practices will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays starting Wednesday, October 5th at 5:45pm. Land practice sessions will start on Monday, October 17th at 5:45pm. Swimmers, remember that you are expected to be in the pool and ready to swim at 5:45pm, so make sure that you arrive at IROC 10-15 minute early to get changed and on the pool deck.
PARENT MEETING – October 11, 2011 at 7pm Please plan to attend a mandatory Parent Meeting on Wednesday, October 11th at 7pm in the IROC lobby where we will go over swim team basics, meets, attendance, swim etiquette, pool rules, holiday practices, and swimmer safety.
DURING POOL PRACTICES While practice is in session, the pool deck is open only to coaches and swimmers. To ensure that the team gets the most out of each practice, we ask that any accompanying family members enjoy a seat poolside or in the lobby while your swimmers are in the pool. By keeping the pool deck as clear as possible, it allows our coaching staff to have easy access to all areas of the pool, keeps the swimmers and coaches focused on each other, and ensures maximum safety for the entire team.
WELCOME PACKET Attached you will find your personal copy of the 2011-2012 Welcome Packet, which will also be posted on the IROCKETS web site at www.irockets.org.
USA SWIMMING This year, we will be attending USA Swimming meets in addition to community meets throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. Teresa Sinel will be at practice throughout the month of October to help answer questions and fill out USA Swimming forms. All USA Swimming forms and payments must be turned in to Teresa by 10/13 for new memberships and 11/10 for renewals.
