It's time for another edition of the International Song Contest!  Ireland enters ISC 46 in Tallinn with renewed hope, after an outstanding 5th place finish in the previous edition.  Still suffering the effects of the global economic situation, the Irish delegation lacks the resources to stage a full-fledged edition of the Amhrán selection process to choose an entry.  We have, however, selected a lovely, high-quality entry to represent Ireland in Estonia's capital city.

Órla Fallon is a native of Knockananna, a town in County Wicklow just south of Dublin.  Órla is a founding member of the Irish music supergroup Celtic Woman, and has toured with the group all over the world, released several albums (both solo and with Celtic Woman) and recorded three televised concerts.  Fluent in Gaeilge, the national language of Ireland and the Irish people, Órla's repertoire contains both English and Irish-language songs.  Órla also plays the harp, and includes this in her performances.

The song Órla will perform at ISC 46 is called "Dancing in the Moonlight," which is a brand-new release from her album Distant Shore.  This song features Órla's beautiful voice and calls upon her Irish music background, but with a more modern popular style.

The Irish delegation wishes Órla the very best of luck in Tallin!
