Sorry for the slow reply. I have only just seen your e-mail.

I have been enormously impressed by the courage shown by the protesters in Iran.

Despite the obvious risk to their safety, they have inspired many around the world with their bravery and determination.

In its rich history Iran has often been a leader, Perhaps these protests might once again lead a movement for a more just and open society.
