Bugs
You are CC’ed on every reply all- when configuring your exchange account use whatever is listed as the default SMTP address in the outlook GAL (look yourself up and click the email address tab and use the first value of SMTP that you see)
- Message status is not set on server (reply, forward)
Message status from the server is not reflected on iPhone- Not supported by Exchange ActiveSync
- font formating and general email formatting is messed up on replies. Things look strange in Outlook (font is Times New Roman)
- If you reply to a message with inline images, the images are not included in the reply.
- You cannot delete messages offline or when the network is flaky
- (Improved in 2.1) Messages will occasionally not render - you only see header information - the body never displays. In the message list screen you can read however many lines you have previewing set for.
- When you reply all, recipients on the TO line are moved to the CC line.
Feature Requests
- Only the inbox can be configured to sync
- Support setting Out of Office message
- Support search on the server
- Support message flagging
- Support local searching
- Allow you to BCC whom ever your want
- Limit the size of message downloaded automatically (not sure I really want this one - just mentioning it because WinMo has it. It could help battery, but is it user friendly?)
- Control whether attachments are downloaded automatically (don't always want attachments - but painful if you get on the plane and realize you don't have the doc you need to read).
- When clicking on a person's name in an email (To/CC) there should be an option to look them up in the Exchange Directory so you can get their Office Location and Phone Number
- Show unread email status on the home screen when the phone is locked. You need to unlock the phone to see if you received any mail.
- Ability to configure what the behavior is after you delete a message you are currently viewing. Currently you are taken to next message, but you should be given option to go back to inbox view.
UX Issues
- All mail folders displayed on screen with no way to collapse
- No quick way to jump between inboxes - you have to "back" up all the way to the list of accounts and then drill in to get to the inbox.
