iPhone Exchange Issues List

General

The issues on this wiki have been moved to uservoice for managing bugs, suggestions and voting.

Bugs
  1. PIN Unlock timeout on the server is not enforced on the phone (please don't fix this)
  2. Push email doesn't work on WiFi depending on corp DNS settings (see link)
  3. Hadn't tried it until now, but just assigned a simple repeating PIN number on my iPhone. Our Exchange 2007 based policy doesn't permit this.
  4. iPhone 2.1 software introduces the "erase data" setting which will erase all data on the iPhone after 10 failed passcode attempts. It appears that this is not an Exchange-enforceable option - meaning that we cannot drive this setting down to the phones along with other security settings.

Feature Requests
  1. Provide some EAS status indications.  There is no information about my sync status information at all.
  2. No configuration for Peak/Off Peak hours to configure Push. It is common to want to have Push only enabled for Off-Peak and a Fetch for Peak hours.
  3. When you have a single Exchange account configured, the global "PUSH" toggle should change that account's setting from PUSH to FETCH (or vice versa).
  4. Sync Exchange Tasks

UX Issues
  1. When pin lock policy enforced by exchange the 'slide to unlock' is still enabled, effectively creating a double-unlock situation.

I am having an issue with the iPhone rebooting after a few minutes (once initialized). The longest it has stayed up is 3 hours. It tends to happen after I have installed a new application. Also, it has happened once I was out of range of my WiFi.
