  • ITEA: The International Tuba Euphonium Association. Officially founded in 1973 as the Tubists Universal Brotherhood Association, ITEA is dedicated to promoting and advancing the tuba and euphonium instruments. The organization comprises performers, educators, students, and amateurs of all backgrounds. As a non-profit organization, it is supported by membership dues and donations.
  • Tuba News: Useful articles, music and product reviews, classifieds, an events calendar, player profiles and more.
  • TubeNet: Owned and operated by Sean Chisham, this site contains various resources for tuba and euphonium players, by far the most popular of which is the Tubenet BBS.
  • TubaEuph.com: A wealth of information for tuba and euphonium by UI alumnus, and past visiting artist David Werden.

TUBA ARTISTS

  • Øystein Baadsvik: One of the world's premier tuba soloists, with multiple recordings to his credit.  Mr. Baadsvik was featured as the University of Iowa's 2004 Octubafest guest artist.
  • Velvet Brown: In addition to being the tuba and euphonium professor at Pennsylvania State University, Velvet Brown enjoys a career as a soloist, chamber musician and recording artist.
  • Jim Self: Jim Self is a famous recording artist, but he is probably best known as a first-call tubist within Hollywood's film music circles.

EUPHONIUM ARTISTS

  • Steven Mead: Steven Mead is the world's premier euphonium soloist.  In addition to being Stephen's homepage, euphonium.net is also a great online resource for euphonium music, mouthpieces, recordings, and more.
  • Adam Frey: As a solo artist, Adam Frey has traveled the world and performed not only in solo recitals, but also with orchestras, brass bands, wind ensembles, and more.
  • Jason Ham: Jason Ham is a prominent euphonium artist and clinician, and serves as president of the Imperial Brass Band, operating out of Woodbridge, New Jersey.
  • David Childs: The youngest in a long-line of talented British euphonium artists, David's well-designed website showcases this newest star in the euphonium world.

CHAMBER MUSIC ENSEMBLES

  • Canadian Brass: Arguably the most well-known chamber music group in the world, the Canadian Brass helped make the brass quintet more accessible and familiar to audiences world-wide.
  • Meridian Arts Ensemble: The leading edge in contemporary brass quintet. Winners of adventurous programming awards for repertoire ranging form Bach to Babbitt, Revueltas to Zappa.
  • Sotto Voce Tuba Quartet: The Sotto Voce Quartet was founded in 1996, and is one of America's finest chamber music ensembles.
  • Empire Brass: One of the most famous brass quintets. Lead by Rolf Smedvig.
  • American Brass Quintet The "High Priests of Brass" in residence at Juilliard.
  • All the King's Tubas: Tim Olt and company, a very fun group
  • Symphonia: America's only professional large tuba euphonium ensemble
  • Tubalatté: An engaging tuba quartet form the U.K.
  • Atlantic Brass: One of the foremost brass quintets in the world, whose tubist is our very own John Manning!
  • Boston Brass: This brass quintet is well-known for their very entertaining concerts.

  • Tuba-Euphonium Press: Owned and operated by  ITEA, the Tuba-Euphonium Press is a publisher and dealer for tuba and euphonium music.
  • TubaStudio.com: This site is operated by Mike Milnarik, founder of INNOVATA and faculty member at U. of Southern Maine.  This site has sheet music, as well as horns, cases, mouthpieces, and more.
