The group wish to thank everyone for their support with the very successful events during December. The Beavers have been working on the Musician and Safety badges and are delighted to welcome two new leaders, Vicky and Kirsty who were invested in January. The cubs themselves have decided they would like to do more traditional scouting activities, such as tracking, knotting, kite making etc. and they spent a very enjoyable day at Woodhouse Park at the end of January practicing tracking. This term the scouts will be cooking, pioneering and going to the Gang Show. The PLs and APLs are joining forces with the explorers and will be going to Buxton Log Cabin in the Forest of Dean this month. Wide games at Woodhouse Park and navigation activities are also planned. Explorer activities have included a Chinese celebration and they are working towards the Quarter Master badge. Later in the year expeditions for the Queen’s Scout silver and platinum awards. Come and join us for a quiz night and dinner on March 7th at St Peter’s School, Bank Road. |
