There are no prerequisite courses for Introductory Ethnobotany.
However, students with certain kinds of life experiences will be able to better understand the materials. Examples include students who:
- are cultural practitioners
- have raised children or been responsible for family decisions
- have experience working with plants as a gardener, craftsman, or artist
- have learned to think in more than one language
- have traveled in multiple countries
- have lived in multiple countries or within ethnic minority communities
