Prerequisites

There are no prerequisite courses for Introductory Ethnobotany.

However, students with certain kinds of life experiences will be able to better understand the materials.  Examples include students who:

  • are cultural practitioners
  • have raised children or been responsible for family decisions
  • have experience working with plants as a gardener, craftsman, or artist
  • have learned to think in more than one language
  • have traveled in multiple countries
  • have lived in multiple countries or within ethnic minority communities
