• A group where international students, visiting scholars and faculty can feel at home and meet some local people from the community
• A group where you can have fun and visit some interesting local sites
• A group where you can get to know other international students
• A group where you can get to know an American family or individual for friendship during your time here

While most of the students come from San José State University, students from all universities are invited to participate. We also welcome internationals who are working in Silicon Valley. 

The group will normally have weekly activities four times a month.  Three of these activities will be on Friday evening, normally from 7 pm until 9:30 pm.  The fourth activity will be some type of adventure on Saturday where we explore some interesting destination in the Bay Area.


A Sample of Some Past Activities and Events

Outdoor Activities
Hiking in Monterey, Pigeon Point/Greyhound Rock beach, beach party, sightseeing in San Francisco by car, hiking in Big Basin, camping weekend, day at the Computer History Museum, boat ride, bowling and pizza, Independence Day (4th of July) fireworks display, Ranch/Farm outing event (horseback riding, catching chickens contest, feeding cattle, goats).
