X Band Frequency Band Usage

Detailed view of the Ku band frequency usage in the US.
United States frequency allocations between 7.9GHz to 12.2GHz
However the X band frequency allocations runs from 8GHz to 12GHz
Note Radio-Location [from the chart] would imply RADAR usage.

7.9GHz to 12.2GHz Frequency Allocation in the United States

Note that although the X Band starts at 8GHz the frequency allocation chart starts at 7.9GHz and runs to 8.025GHz for the beginning of the X Band.

The bar at the bottom of the chart represents:
Red, Government exclusive.  Black, Shared Government & Non-Government.  Green, Non-Government exclusive
Colors used within the chart mean other things, however; in most cases the chart indicates the usage.
Red = Fixed, Dark Purple = Mobile Satellite, Light Purple = Fixed Satellite,
Dark Yellow = Radio-location Satellite, Green = Maritime Radio-navigation and so on.

So the frequency range between 9.5GHz and 10.0GHz is used only by the US government for either;
Satellite Radio-location [Dark Yellow] or Maritime Radio-navigation [Green].

Editor note: Although many people continue to use the "letter"-Band nomenclature [X-Band], most of the government tends to indicate the usage is obsolete.
In fact the US Government, at least parts, indicate that using terms like X-Band is legally obscure.
