World Climate Regions Map

This graphic shows the regional climate on a global scale for land areas.

Normally when staring a design one of the requirements is temperature range.
The requirement does not come down as operating in a 'hot area' of the planet.
Of course the first question asked would be how do you define hot.

There are two main temperature ranges used in IC design [four total]
Commercial Temperature; 0C to 70C
Military Temperature; -55C to 125C
