Planning

Through the summer of 2008, Totino-Grace High School invited members of the extended community to share their input on the school today and the emerging prioritites for the future. Over 1,000 people completed the planning survey and nearly 140 participated in Feasibility Study / Focus Group planning sessions.

The process included a broad cross-section of students, faculty and staff, alumni, community leaders, and friends. Their feedback, after reviewing key facts about the school and emerging priorities, has helped to shape not only the campaign's funding priorities - but our vision for the future.

Planning participants brought forth critical issues, challenged assumptions and affirmed school strengths. Discussions at Focus Group sessions and board committee meetings were lively and candid. From all of the input, four key consensus themes emerged:

1. People love Totino-Grace, in large part because of the school's nurturing community, strong leadership, academic excellence, and teachers.

2. People appreciate the manner in which the school has advanced programs and improved facilities over the years.

3. The school must take steps to address the most pressing facility improvement priorities in order to remain competitive and advance the mission.

4. The endowment must be increased to ensure that a Totino-Grace education is affordable and accessible - the school must find ways to meet the needs of our families.
