The Research committee on Theory, Concepts and Methodology also known as the RC01, is one of the 21 key committes of the Indian Sociological Society.

RC01 consists of eminent sociologists, research scholars and students across India.

RC01 provides a platform for debate and discussion on the areas of theory, concept and methodology relevant to Sociology and Anthropology in the context of South Asia in general and India in particular.

It is a forum for gathering and disseminating information regarding relevant academic events, theoretical issues and themes and the emerging perspectives and trends in doing research in Sociology and Anthropology.
