Our retreat committee has toured several possible sites within the last few months.  Two contiguous properties in La Honda seemed to meet our needs, however, the zoning was incorrectly stated as RM.  It was actually RM-CZ.  We have been advised by our land development consultant to stay away from CZ property.  

We toured an Alzheimer facility in Scotts Valley.  This certainly would have been a possibility, however, the distance was too far from IMC.

Carol has seen 2 commercial properties for sale--one was a church and the other a school.  The land on both was not large enough to support our envisioned center.

We are still hoping the large tract of land in La Honda will come available.

It appears that La Honda is our focused area--it is within 30-40 minutes of IMC, has large tracts of land, and RM zoning.  We have looked at another property meeting our criteria.   We are still working on the large tract of land, however, it is a fairly complicated transaction.  Hopefully I will have some more news by September.  In the meantime, if you know of any property with our criteria, please contact Carol.  Thank you.

We continue to actively search for a property that can be IMC's residential retreat center.  We are currently looking at a magnificent property in La Honda.  It is quite large with several ecological zones including a redwood grove, meadow, oak and a large area of very arable soil for gardening.
