When we consider some of the classic films such as “Jesus of Nazareth”, “The Greatest Story Ever Told”, “King of Kings” and more recently, “The Passion of the Christ”, there is little doubt that people all around the world are both intrigued and inspired by the story of Jesus, a story that has never before been told in contemporary times. "What if?" What if instead of Jesus the Nazarene being born in the first century, he was to come in our century, in our time? How would his coming in modern times affect the world in which we live? Jesus of Nazareth brilliantly comes to life on the silver screen in a way that's never been portrayed before. The story of his life and ministry are masterfully told through the narration of his mother, Mary. Rather than 2,000 years ago in ancient Palestine, the story begins 30 years ago and unfolds in 2009 at a time when the oppressive Herodians were in power in Palestine.
