Intro

Hello! This is Inkie Chung (정인기, [t͡ɕʌŋ inɡi], 鄭仁基, チョン・インギ, Ιγγι Τζον, Инги Чжон, इन्गि छङ्, אִנגִ צֹנג, ᛁᚾᚸᛁ ᛏᛋᚩᛝ), Associate Professor of English and Linguistics, working full-time in the Department of English at Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea. I received my Ph.D. in Linguistics from the Department of Linguistics at the University of Connecticut, in Storrs-Mansfield, Connecticut, U.S.A. Before joining the Sogang faculty, I taught in the Department of English at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Conn., in the Gen. Ed. English Program at the University of Seoul in Seoul, South Korea, and in the Department of English at Soon Chun Hyang University in Asan, South Korea. I have been indebted to so many individuals and organizations during my study, in my teaching career and throughout my life. I would like to thank each and every one of them. As for my research areas, I work on morphology, phonology and related areas like historical linguistics, acquisition of phonology and morphology (first and second language), and hopefully sign language phonology and morphology in the future. I was an active member of the Storrs Korean Church at UConn, a United Church of Christ member while in Connecticut, and a regular member of Choir 2 at the Kyundong Presbyterian Church, Seoul.
