Overview

While redesigning existing sites is a large part of this business, developing new web sites is the primary function. Creating new sites requires developmental skills and abilities along with an sound understanding of business management.  While it is easy to find someone who can create an attractive web page, creating, managing, and effectively promoting a professional web site it is much more complex.  As a web developer for state government, I have many years of experience working with management teams to help them understand the value and potential of a web presence.  This position has given me much practical experience creating professional level sites.

There are two primary approaches to web development, custom design and template modification.  The sections below will briefly describe these options.

Custom Web Design

Custom web designs allow the customer to create a particular layout and color scheme of their choosing.  This is useful for creative people with a flair for design.  Unfortunately, the creation of custom designs requires a great deal of time for developers to create the code necessary for web  browsers to render the proper layout.  Time is money and labor intense work carries a higher cost.

Template Modification

Many clients are now choosing to use templates to create their web sites rather than have a site custom designed.
