We have raised and hunted Boykin Spaniels for twelve years.  Our first  pup was a female named Dixie.  After raising her we wondered why anyone would want any other kind of dog.

Boykins make wonderful pets, great inside dogs and are excellent hunting dogs. We had Labrador Retrievers for several years prior to having our Boykins.  Though the labs were smart and good hunting dogs, they can't compare to the intelligence and ease of training of the Boykins that we have owned. 

 We have since lost our Dixie. But, we have added to our Boykin family, Sir "Winston" Charles, "K.D" Belle and Raven "Ali" .   Winston is 6 years old  K.D. is 4 and Raven Ali is 12 months.  They are like most all Boykins, very smart, not big on digging or chewing up things (like our labs quite often did.)

The common commands such as, sit, stay, shake and retrieve are picked up as puppies with effortless teaching.   

We are proud of our Boykins.  For those of you who don't own one and may be looking for a wonderful, bright hunting dog or a loving, smart family pet, a Boykin may be what you are searching for.  We are going to be raising one  litter per year with  Ali and K.D.  .   We want to share with you how great the Boykin Spaniel experience is.
