General Information

Bio-D products are biodegradable household cleaning products using detergents derived from natural sources and all are manufactured in the UK.

The raw materials are plant-based derivatives with vegetable based surfactants. These are  sourced wherever possible from renewable sources.  Only a small proportion of the products are mineral based and not renewable.

Free from GM, dairy and  palm oil or derivatives thereof.

They do not contain synthetic perfumes, preservatives, enzymes, petrochemicals or phosphates.

They do not contain palm oil.

They do not contain any animal by-products and we ensure that neither the raw materials or our products are tested on animals.  They are approved by the BUAV and the Vegan Society.  Suitable for Vegans.

There are no human rights issues in the production of our products or our raw materials.

Products are concentrated to reduce packaging, and are non-irritant.

The packaging is 100% recyclable and made from a minimum of 60% recycled material.

To reinforce our belief in the use of natural ingredients all products are allergy tested and are hypoallergenic.

Bio-D currently has earned the “Best Buy” label from Ethical Consumer magazine in the following categories:

Washing up liquid; household detergents; toilet cleaner; laundry detergents/powders.

All our products degrade faster than required under EEC legislation and are suitable for use in conjunction with septic tanks and cess pits.

In summary: all our products are environmentally responsible, ethically sound, safe to use and have a minimal environmental impact on our planet.
