    • This program is designed to give participants the basic technical skills needed for entry-level positions in the Manufacturing and Renewable Energy industries. 

    • Individuals wishing to advance their career opportunities in the future will have a solid foundation of skills to build upon with continued studies. 

    • Successful completion of all courses will result in an Industrial Maintenance certificate.

Schedule of Classes (subject to change):
 Worthington/Jackson Area - Bridge Program to begin April 2012 and class to follow beginning June 2012
 
 Marshall - Bridge Program to begin April 2012 and class to follow beginning May 2012
 
Granite Falls - Bridge Program to begin January 2012 and class to follow beginning in February 2012  
 
Benson -   Bridge Program to begin January 2012 and class to follow beginning in February 2012
      
Ortonville - TAKING APPLICATIONS -  Dates/Classes are to be announced
 
                              
  • Plan to dedicate 4 hours per day, 4 days per week - attendance is REQUIRED at all classes.
  • FREE Classes for those committed to enhancing employment and who meet eligibility requirements
  • Funding, supported by MSESP and FastTRAC grant monies, will provide Industrial Maintenance training for 10-15 individuals per course.
 

Courses Include:

  • Mechanical Power Transmission (Online)                       24 Hours
  • Industrial Safety (Online)                                              24 Hours
  • Electrical Controls                                                       80 Hours
  • Programmable Logic Controls                                       40 Hours
  • Fluid Power                                                                 24 Hours
  • Welding                                                                      40 Hours
  • Boiler Engineering                                                         8 Hours

All courses must be completed to receive the Industrial Maintenance Certificate

 


 
Eligibility:
  • Initially determined by Literacy and Math levels (must be assessed by Adult Basic Education)
  • Priority given to individuals enrolled in and actively attending ABE classes, individuals working within the WorkForce system, or referred by an employer and committed to completing all four courses
  • Classes are NOT available to anyone enrolled in the K-12 public school system
