American Government

Students will gain the basic understanding of the system of government used in the United States through the use of text, discussion, current events and media.
Documents to be covered are the Declaration of Independence and United States Constitution.

The Union Tribune newspaper will be used to analyze and discuss the following topics:
Rights and Responsibilities of Citizens.
Political Parties.
Levels and Branches of Government.
State and Local Government.
