These three pillars of communication today are all packed into one small box. Easy to use and install in France.

Mobile connection:

If you are a user with a talk time of less than 1 hr per month, it is best to have a prepaid SIM card and charge it as and when needed. Buying a SIM card, entitles you to a 6 month free incoming.

If you are a user with a talk time of 1 hr or more per month, it is best to have a contract of 1 or 2 yrs. This way you pay a small amount to get a new mobile phone and pay a monthly charge for the amount of talk time needed.

The per call charge on a contract is cheaper (about 0,25€/min) compared to using only the SIM card (about 0,50€/min). And in a contract you pay the monthly amount, irrespective of the fact that you use the talk time within a month or not.

There are plenty of service providers in France. The main ones being: Orange, SFR and Bouygues. There are many offers every few days, so keep an eye for the best one to suit your needs.

Phone Cards to call India

Two commonly used cards are: Eurolatina and Continental

You can buy them at the Asie bazar and at a few Tabac shops in the city. Both of them cost 7.50 Euros for about the same talk time. They also have a "call back" option which can be used from the fixed phones or France Telecom cabine telephones for best talk times.
