Please welcome a new gardener to our group. Her name is Carol Constantine and she will be doing container gardening in the NW corner of the community garden next to Erika's plot. Nice to have you become part of our Community Garden group Carol :-)

If anyone goes to the garden this weekend, please put one of the green trash containers in front of our next door neighbor's house and the other green trash container across the street from that house. Make sure our name is on the container. Markers are in the shed. It is possible that the Beckers (our landlords who also have a garden plot) may roll one of the green containers to their house for pick-up.

Kindly ask our next door neighbor if we can empty the black trash container into theirs for garbage pick-up Monday.

We need to re-position our containers within the garden to the area between the shed and the athletic group's storage trailer. We want to keep the area next to Erika's garden plot clear for Carol's container gardening.

We didn't get a good crop of veggies along the fence this past year. It seems like our first harvest was huge with peas. Then the corn got eaten by pests. Now the variety of veggies we planted didn't do well. I think the sun/shade combination and the shallow planting area are affecting our communal crop in that location.

Shall we continue to try?  Or, shall we allow our new gardener to use that area to expand her container gardening? If you have a strong feeling one way or the other, please email me. Tx.
