Hello Gardeners - - - I briefly stopped by the garden this afternoon and saw that Marie started to fill her plot with nice dark compost soil. You know the old saying: "The early bird catches the worm". The remains of the overgrown plants behind the storage trailer are gone and cardboard has been laid - - - and ready for wood chips. Thank you Marie. More gardeners are hearing about us and calling to get a garden plot or just help out in order to be part of a group with common interests. I started a waiting list. There are two gardeners who requested a plot assignment a few weeks ago but have not contacted me since. I will try one more time to contact them before re-assigning their plots to newcomers. The "Fencing Team" is planning to install the fence on SUNDAY. The Work Plans haven't changed. Please refer to yesterday's email or search it on the website blog. FYI - - - Ann Sorvetti is having her own planting day on Saturday at 8 am at Baldy View Elementary School. Anyone who wants to support Ann in her native plant project can attend the event. Mary P.S. I just found out tonight that I am going to be a grandma !!!! My only one is 8 weeks pregnant. Yippee. |
