Hello Gardeners - - - Sorry for a second email message today - - - but I just finished delivering 41 herb plants from Lowe's compliments of Colorama. (My SUV never smelled so good :-) Lowe's sales specialist in garden, Blanca, talked to Colorama about supporting our Community Garden. (She is the one who also called Scotts about their Miracle-Gro Organic Choice and support of our Garden. ) I selected a variety of herbs to fill two flats. They include: sweet basil, greek basil, hot 'n spicy oregano, sage, rosemary, garlic chives, onion chives, parsley, and ??? I forgot - ha. Blanca said that we are likely to get continued donations from colorama for herbs and veggie flats. The plants are on the shed side of the garden. Please water if needed. Over the next few days let's prepare some communal planters and put them in the beds. Keep the labels with the plants. If anyone is available early Friday morning, come on over to help me and Paula unload a half cubic yard of dark compost and wheelbarrow it to the back of the garden. We should be there around 8 am.
