Hello Gardeners - - -

Holy Cow !!! What a day for donations :-)

A Heights resident and "friend of the garden" contacted me to come and pick up garden stuff that he and his wife no longer need. So Valerie, my daughter Lisa, and I went over in two vehicles and transported tomato fences, various sizes of planters with soil, brick, loads of decorative concrete scalloped boarders (straight and curved), some river rocks, and garden tools. Thanks Gary.

Marian, also a "friend of the garden", donated additional black plastic pots, wooden slats, corn stalks (which Valerie made into festive decorations for our front gate and side gate - Thanks Val), wire fencing, and other odds and ends.  She also donated a drip system hose. The drip attachments will be ready shortly for pick up. Thanks Marian.

These donations  will allow us to have flowers and communal herbs and veggies in all the nooks and crannies of our Garden :-)

And last, but certainly not least, I got a call from Miracle-Gro and nearly fell off my feet when the rep said that he will be bringing soil and fertilizer to the garden Wednesday morning AND Miracle-Gro wants to CONTINUE TO SUPPORT our Community Garden with soil and fertilizer !!!

Let's get our garden plots planted so we have wonderful veggies for Thanksgiving and the Holidays. We certainly have a lot to be thankful for including a wonderful group of gardeners who are fast becoming gardening friends, and wonderful supporters and "friends of the garden".
