Hello Gardeners - - - Yes, this is a second email for today - - - :-) Here is a "Honey-Do" list for us to get ready for our Fall Harvest Celebration. Please feel free to pick a project to work on between now and the end of the month - - - 1. Move the rocks by the storage trailer. (Note: There are several I will be taking to a "Friend of the Garden" in return for some donations). Suggest moving them to make a border around the tree across from the rocks by the fence. Someone already burmed up the soil. The rocks will look nice there. Other suggestions welcomed. (Note: Ken of PCC said that he will eventually provide irrigation for that poor tree.) 2. Still trying to get wood chips for the back of the garden, some bare spots in the garden, and the side of the parking area outside our fence. If you come across free wood chips, please pick up a load. My two sources don't have any right now. I check weekly. 3. There are several bags of pine cones in the shed (from a friend of mine). We'll use some for kids to paint at our celebration event. Please feel free to use some to decorate. 4. Did anyone get an extra free green waste container from the city so you can donate it to The Garden? We need it to empty the organic choice bags (the plastic will disintegrate during the winter). 5. Need to clean up the yard waste and bring over to the PCC dumpsters. We need a green waste container for this as well. Mary |
