- Please note that the roundup of "Mock" lists is not a place to nominate a book for a particular list. This is merely a roundup of the many, many lists that are already out there. If you do not see a list with which you are familiar in the roundup, you may add it as follows:
- Click on the link for the appropriate award below.
- Scroll to the far right of the lists. Add the name of the library system/school/entity that is running your mock list to the first row.
- For each book on your list:
- If the title is already in the spreadsheet (they are listed alphabetically by author), place the number "1" in the row with the title, under the new column you created for your "mock" list.
- if the title is not already in the spreadsheet, add the title and author/illustrator in the appropriate columns at the end of the list, put the number "1" in the row with the title, under the new column you created for your "mock" list.
- After you finish adding any books not on the list, let your mouse rest on the grey bar between row 1 and 2 under the "author/illustrator" column. Click the little down arrowhead that appears and sort A to Z. [ I know it is very tempting to sort the list by the "total" column to see who has the most mentions. Please don't do this as it makes it difficult for others to find and mark the books that are on their mock list when they add it to the roundup. Thanks]
- SAVE changes by clicking "file" then "save and close"
You may want to print these instructions before going to the appropriate award roundup. They are easier to follow when looking at the spreadsheet. Here are the links for each roundup spreadsheet: Mock Caldecott RoundupMock Newbery RoundupMock Printz Roundup | |
