Did you know that according to the Imperial Beach Municipal Code, it is not legal to own chickens?  Well, we would like to change that!  We are working hard to help the City of Imperial Beach learn about the positive impact of chicken ownership so that we can hopefully someday have a municipal code that allows chicken ownership in IB.  

This website is dedicated to two things: providing information about the benefits of backyard chickens and providing information about how a city ordinance may be drafted to allow chicken ownership in a way that is both beneficial in your yard and safe for your neighbors.  Visit the Chicken Links and City Ordinances pages for useful information about chickens, other cities' municipal codes, and lots of other useful tips!
