Finishing Touches

The inner parts of the circus have been cleaned. The "grass" has been overturned to make the green color of the sawdust bright again. Today, May 12, 2010 Cristina Savu and volunteer Kelly Eggleston will work on putting some finishing touches on the circus, a final quick dusting of the perimeter pieces and smoothing out the sawdust.

The project is almost complete! The Immel Circus looks brighter then ever, thanks to all the volunteers and interns who have helped.

Come see the unveiling of the restored Immel Circus on Wednesday, May 19th (National Circus Day) during exhibit opening of Sawdust and Spectacle: Under the Big Top In Small Town America at the Massillon Museum 5:00-8:00p.m.  This event is free and open to the public.  Enjoy cotton candy, dance performances, clowns, and balloon animals.
