Found Objects to Collect

At different times throughout the year, each class will be creating artwork using found objects. 
 
I would appreciate parents, teachers, and friends of IC's Art Enrichment Program to collect and bring in the following objects:
Found Objects from Nature
  • Very small sticks
  • Acorns
  • Acorn caps
  • Peanut Hulls
  • Seeds
  • Small flat rocks
  • Small seashells
  • Small dried flowers
  • Differently shaped leaves
Found Small Recycled Objects
  • Buttons
  • Bits of string
  • Yarn
  • Plastic caps (one side flat)
  • Bits and pieces of Fabric
  • Cards - all occasions
  • Thread
  • Empty thread spools
  • Old Magazines
  • Hemming tape
  • Lace
Other Objects
  • Small computer parts
  • Small electronic parts
  • Keys
  • Light gauge wire (easily bends)
  • Wooden beads
  • Plastic Beads (no glass please)
  • Scrabble tiles
  • Board game pieces
  • Old Movie Tickets
  • Netting
  • Small Items that when rubbed create textures or can be used as stamps
 
 
NOTE:  The list above is certainly not all-inclusive but it will give you an idea of what I'm looking for.  I mostly need small objects with flat sides; the lighter they are the better, since most will be glued to light-weight paper or poster board.  Please be careful not to send anything sharp or made of glass.
