Rev. Dr. James Kwang has been pastoring Immanuel Methodist church since 1996, after completing his Master of Divinity Degree from Birmingham Theological Seminary, Alabama (Perth Campus - Westminster Theological College). He is also an ordained Elder of the Chinese Methodist Church In Australia. He has also completed his Doctor of Ministry, in the USA (Jackson, Missisippi). James was born and raised in Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia. He received his assurance of salvation at the age of 19 during his studies in England at Loughborough Technical College. He went on to Sheffield City Polytechnic (now Sheffield Hallam University) where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Honours in July, 1982. After his graduation, he worked as an engineer in Sarawak (1982-87) and immigrated to Perth, Australia in December, 1987 where he worked as an Engineer and later ran a construction company. James and his wife Bee Kim reside in the beautiful city of Perth, Australia, with their two daughters, Ching You and Esther. |
