K'nex County Final - Winning Schools for 2010

We would like to thank all the schools that took part in the Coventry and Warwickshire K'nex county Final on Tuesday 25th May 2010 at The Benn Hall Rugby. Seventeen schools were represented and 70 children took part. The standard was very high and the eleven Professional Engineering judges comments included 'all teams worked very hard' and 'the challenge was one of the most complex set at this level'

All the teams had to make a rescue lift tower that was 75cm high and needed to contain a working lift that would wind up using pulleys and if possible gears to a height of 50cm

The top six teams were quite difficult to differentiate as they all made very good models, however in the end with very close marks the top three were:

1) Temple Herdewyke Primary School near Southam

2) Cawston Grange Primary School Rugby

3) Binley Woods Primary School

The team from Temple Herdewyke will be going on to the National Final at The Imperial War Museum at Duxford in Cambridgeshire on Friday 11th June - we wish them well.

WELL DONE ALL TEAMS
