Tyree Campbell 

Tyree Campbell is a retired U.S. Army translator with over a hundred short stories, two dozen poems, and three novels to his credit thus far. He writes science fiction, some slipstream to fantasy, and spooky horror. His work has been nominated for the James Tiptree Jr. Award as well as for a Spectrum and Lambda, and he is a Rhysling finalist. His stories have received honorable mentions in The Year's Best Fantasy & Horror. His third novel, The Dice of God, is due out August 2009.

Since 2002 Campbell has also been the Managing Editor of Sam's Dot Publishing, which publishes science fiction, fantasy, and horror in various formats: a dozen magazines and periodic anthologies, as well as novels, novellas, collections, and poetry. In the past two years, five Sam's Dot titles [a novel, a story collection, and three poetry collections] have made the final ballot for the Stoker Award.
